We started the semi-finals game strong, pressuring the opponent with our tough full court defence, forcing numerous turnovers and easy fastbreak baskets. This gave us a headstart and a huge boost in morale. Not only that, AJC were in foul trouble, committing five team fouls just five minutes into the first quarter, which allowed us to capitalise and obtain freethrows. This allowed us to stretch the lead to a comfortable scoreline of 22-10 by the first quarter.

We continued riding the momentum, pressuring them with our aggressive defence and forcing turnovers. AJC couldn’t seem to respond thus the lead increased to 53-27. However, in the 4th quarter, AJC had quite a scoring run and we got outscored 4-14 but it still was not enough to overcome the big deficit. We eventually emerged winners of the semifinal game.

However, there are definitely things we must work on. We could have had better ball movement and should have made more of our outside shots, as well as keep our number of fouls down and not commit silly and unnecessary fouls.
