February 29. A special date that comes about only once every 4 years.
In the past one year, we have been privileged to be able to share at various platforms and medium with others about the joy and passion that we have here in Raffles Basketball.
Coupled with our 1st A Div Boys National Schools Championships in 15 years, Starhub came down to film a 15 minute feature on Raffles Basketball for their NSG Program, highlighting the school sports scene in Singapore.

After that, The New Paper came down and wanted to interview Jovi as he experienced the loss of his father just 2 weeks before Nationals began. Through the interview, Jovi shared about overcoming the grief and loss and how he found solace in his teammates and the game of Basketball and was nominated for the TNP School Sports Star Award in 2015.

Their Basketball Teacher IC, Mr Carlsen Tay also got into the act and was chosen to share about the work that he had been doing with Raffles Basketball for the past years, which was entitled 'Use of Augmented Quantitative Feedback on A Division Basketball Players’ Performance' at the European Council of Sports Science (ECSS) held in Malmo, Sweden in July 2015. He shared about the capture of the performance of players via functional testing and the feedback that can garnered through the testing and statistics capture of each player's performance during games.

Following on from that, it was really great that he was given further opportunities back home in Singapore to share with both teachers and basketball coaches of NCAP level 1 rating up to even National Team coaches.

We are really thankful for these wonderful learning opportunities and hope to see Raffles Basketball flourishing and encouraging others in the development of this sport we love.
